The walk starts from the car park at the “Maison de la Réserve Naturelle”.
(S/E) Head towards the bottom of the valley via the Discovery Trail.
(1) Cross the Sainte-Anne bridge and you will then reach a junction.
(2) Turn left and cross the stream again, using the footbridge. Once you’ve entered the forest, take the path furthest to the left, and climb to the Puy de Champgourdeix (1,570 m) once you reach the ridge.
(3) Next, head up the Plaine des Moutons, passing between the Puy de la Perdrix and the Puy Ferrand, to join a wide path near a ski lift.
(4) Continue straight on to descend to the Col de la Cabane.
(5) From there, turn right onto the wide path.
(6) Just after the Ferrand Nord ski lift, at the Fork in the road, turn right to go round the Pan de la Grange, following theGR®®4(marked in white and red). Stay on theGR®®4to pass the Pic Intermédiaire and then the Puy de Cacadogne. Reach the Puy des Crebasses.
(7) Head off to the right and descend along the ridge to a junction (elevation 1429).
(8) Turn right to head back down into the valley through the forest, towards the Dent de la Rancune.
(2) Leave the path you took on the way up on your right and head straight on to return to the car park via the same route you took on the way up (S/E).
