The Col de la Seigne
The Col de la Seigne (2,516 m) is located on the Tour du Mont Blanc route, on the French-Italian border. On the way up, there is a beautiful view of the Glaciers glacier. The descent is opposite the Beaufortain massif.
Col de la Seigne circular route
A hike that skirts the Mont Blanc massif (and follows part of the legendary TMB). A circular hike offering spectacular views of the Vallée des Glaciers and Chapieux. Mont Blanc crowns the ascent when the weather permits. You could almost touch it.
TMB 2011
Completed from 27 June to 4 July 2011, with 4 hikers, 2 tents, in almost complete autonomy (food provided for 7 days, only bread and a few items were purchased along the route).
The cable car and bus were used to shorten some stages and we needed about a day more to complete the Brévent balcony opposite the Mont Blanc massif.
The return to the starting point will be by public transport, bus or train...

Col de la Fenetre
This walk starts from the top of the gondola at Le Signal. It is an interesting walk, up to and through the Col de la Fenetre. The descent takes you back down through alpine pastures and into the valley leading back to Les Contamines-Montjoie.
