Departure from the car park at the Peyre crossroads (junction with the road leading down to Lablachère).
/A:: In Peyre, opposite the café, find the wide path marked in red and yellow (an old transhumance route) which winds through the heath. Follow it until you reach the first crossroads.
(1) At the first crossroads, follow the path marked in yellow straight ahead.
(2) About 10 m before the television antenna, turn left onto the mule track, also marked in yellow. Between heather and broom, the start of the trail is on a ledge, offering a beautiful view of the Thines valley and the village from the Croix Blanche.

Walk through the forest and climb up a stony path for about 3 km.
(7) The trail passes above the hamlet of La Blacherette and then climbs left onto the plateau. Walk along a beautiful terraced chestnut grove and continue climbing through an oak grove and then a beautiful, fragrant pine forest until you reach the junction from the outward journey.
