(S/E) Turn right out of the pub, then in about 600yds find a footpath left along the side of a garden, passing sheds to a stile into fields.
(1) Follow the footpath forward for about 800yds when it goes left across a plank bridge into a wood. In some 200yds the footpath reaches a road.
(2) Turn left for 200yds to a gate on the right where a footpath starts. Go forward, keeping to the left of the fields, and go through a field gate on the left.
(3) Then bear right, passing some ponds and follow the footpath uphill between fences to emerge on a lane by a large house.
(4) Turn left and follow the lane past another house and a large spoil heap, and when the lane turns to the left, keep straight on along a footpath. This is joined by a chalky lane coming in from the right. Follow the lane for about 400yds.
(5) Then take a footpath on the left. Follow this through a field and a gap between woods, then bear left in a field and follow round the left hand side of this around the back of a bungalow.
(6) Cross the drive to this, and go forward down a wide grassy lane. Follow the footpath across a tussocky field to a rather high stile. From this, follow the track passing woods which after 700yds becomes a footpath soon meeting a metalled road.
(7) Turn left for 150yds, then right onto a track into the woods.
(8) Go left at an intersection, and follow round in a curve to the right after which the track comes out past some cottages into Wolverton Townsend.(S/E)
