(S/E) From the Place de l'Église in Tarnac, take the Peyrelevade road to the right of the church for 800 metres.
(1) After the last house, take the path on the right towards "Chez Troussas". Follow this narrow path up into the forest, which then widens out into cleared land. After a small stone house, continue straight ahead on the wide path uphill. The path narrows again as it re-enters the woods.
(2) After walking for 45 minutes, take the path on the right and continue straight ahead for 20 metres. Then turn onto the path that descends to the right. You will then walk along a meadow, which you will go around to the right, forming a large loop.
(3) At the next crossroads, turn left, continuing to follow the signs for "Chez Troussas". After 500 metres, turn left again onto the tarmac road which climbs for 100 metres and cross the hamlet of "Chez Troussas". Shortly afterwards, at the crossroads, follow the wide path opposite which will take you to the Vienne river, just before Servières.
(4) After crossing the Vienne on a metal bridge, turn left onto a narrow road that leads to a crossroads at the entrance to Servières.
(5) Turn left onto a wide path and follow it for 150 metres. Then turn left onto a small sloping path surrounded by stone walls, with a sign indicating "Rochers de Servières". Follow this narrow path down towards the Vienne river winding below. Follow the river to a crossroads where you can either follow a paved path on the left or take a route on the left through the famous large rocks of Servières, which I recommend. You will then pass the ruins of a mill with its stone millstone still in place. Continue uphill into the forest.
(6) At the crossroads, turn left towards "Le Trech" and cross the Chandouille on three flat stone bridges. Continue along this path until you reach a junction with the D109 at the entrance to Le Trech. Cross the road and continue straight ahead through the village, following the main road. At the end of the village, turn right and then left immediately afterwards onto a path. Follow this path until you reach a crossroads.
(7) Turn left towards "Tarnac" and continue along the paved road downhill. Further on, you will pass a meadow overlooking the valley and just after that you will see a chalet on your right.
(8) 100 metres further on, turn right into the undergrowth onto the sloping path that joins the hamlet of Pont Lagorce, which you cross on a small road. Pass the barn on your right, then at the next bend, leave the road and take a path that leads to the Vienne.
(9) Cross the Vienne again on a standard bridge and continue straight ahead. The path joins a road alongside a beautiful property (on the right) and then reaches Tarnac and its church (S/E).

A beautiful route with snow and a little sunshine. Pure enjoyment!
