You can park along Rue de l’Église just before the church or in the small car park opposite it.
(S/E) Set off north-north-east along a path that runs behind the church and turns right. The path runs alongside a meadow, then crosses the Orillon via a small footbridge, leading to a lovely little wash house. A mosaic depicts La Fontaine’s fable ‘Death and the Woodcutter’.
(1) Follow the path on the right towards the village. At the end, turn right twice and cross the bridge over the river.
(2) At the bus stop, turn left onto theGRP® Tour de l’Omois (yellow and red markings). Ignore the path on the left – you’ll take this on the way back – and another path a little further on, also on the left.
(3) Continue to follow theGRP®, which branches off to the left.
(4) Let theGRP® head off to the right and turn left towards the hamlet of Party. Walk through this hamlet and, at the triangular junction (crossroads), turn slightly left. Follow the tarmac road to the hamlet of Villom. Walk through this hamlet, continuing straight ahead at the junction.
(5) On leaving the hamlet, after a large shed, take the path on the left. Continue straight on (north-east) along this path, which overlooks the village of Coulonges.
(6) At the end of the track, turn left. The track then bends to the right alongside a stream. Ignore a turn-off on the right. You’ll come out onto a track; follow it to the right to quickly reach a junction you passed on the way there.
(2) Turn left onto Rue de l’Église and follow it to the car park (S/E).
