On the Grand Rouvière Plateau

Two parking spaces are located near the forest gate, on the D8n at a place called Coulin.

(S/E) Pass the DFCI GC 103 barrier and very soon cross the GC 224 on the right. Continue left along a winding road and arrive at a junction with a light green skip on the right.

(1) Continue past the green skip. About ten metres further on, you’ll reach a junction with a Fork in the road. Turn left and continue along the main path, ignoring the small side tracks, until you reach a crossroads.

(2) Turn left onto the path which climbs quite steeply. Pass a large junction, keeping slightly to the right, and continue along the path. Walk alongside the vineyards and arrive at a beautiful plateau offering views of the region. Then arrive at a large crossroads with several directions and continue straight ahead.

(3) At the junction, with the metal posts of an old forest barrier on the right-hand side of the path, take the path on the right and walk for about twenty metres under the high-voltage power lines with a lovely mountainous landscape in front of you. Stay on the main path, which is the widest one.

(4) At the junction with the GC 117, which branches off to the left, take the GC 117 to stay on the main path, which turns left. Then pass a junction by continuing straight ahead. Stay on the main path and cross a very wide path, which you should take on the left. As you go downhill, pass an intersection by going straight on and stay on the main path until you reach the DFCI track. Follow it to the left to reach the junction from the outward journey.

(3) Continue straight ahead. At the multi-way junction, take the GC 201 on the right. You will then come to a very large junction.

(5) Turn right, then, before reaching the bend, continue along a small path branching off to the left. Take this path. It is a lovely single track through the woods that ends at a DFCI track. Turn right until you reach the first junction and enjoy the scenery.

(6) Retrace your steps by continuing down this DFCI track to the right. Stay on the main path at the junction with the HC 210, which is on the left. Continue straight on along the GC 103.

(7) At the fork in the road on the GC 200, with a forest gate, continue to the right following the GC 103. Return to the junction of the circular route.

(1) Keep to the right to take the return route back to the car park (S/E).
