The starting point is behind the church, by the sports ground in the village of Lacrost.
Mountain bike signpost number 1, green.
(S/E) With your back to the car park, turn left and walk alongside the tennis courts on your left.
(1) At the give way sign, turn left then turn right towards the bridge. After crossing the bridge, take the path on the right and continue straight on.
(2) At the junction with a path, carry on straight ahead and join the road.
(3) At the road, turn left, then right at the next junction to reach the banks of the Saône. Continue left along the path, which is closed to motor vehicles.
(4) At the bridge, first turn left then right and continue along the riverbank.
(5) When you reach another bridge, go under it and carry on along the path which leads away from the Saône after passing under a power line.
(6) At the junction with signposts, turn right onto the dirt track, then turn left when you reach the tarmac road. Carry on to the wash house on the left, then continue straight on towards the houses.
(7) At the houses, turn left onto Faubourg Saint-Nicolas and, when you reach the sheds, take the dirt track on the left. At the end of the track, continue left onto the stony path and, at the end of this, turn right onto Rue Étienne Blanchin. Cross the Route des Alpes and continue along Rue de l’Église until you reach the car park opposite the church (S/E).
Yes, a really lovely route – we followed the mountain bike signs in the village, which is why it doesn’t match the Visor Andorra route.
