(S/E) Starting from the village house in Ellemelle, the walk crosses the historic part of Ellemelle and allows you to admire the local architecture and beautiful old buildings (currently undergoing renovation/restoration since 2020).
(1) After the Peteubout cross (a little history to read on the information panel), the route reaches Houchenée Castle (2) and then Baugnée Castle (4), alternating pleasantly between country and forest passages.
(7) A few kilometres further on through the forest, the walk passes through the heart of the village of Fraiture, where interested walkers can read the numerous information panels and admire some beautiful buildings such as the Ferme des Trois Tilleuls, the Vieux Château and the Vieille Forge.
(8) Slightly off the trail, at the back of the campsite, is the Château Neuf... let's say right away that it is in rather poor condition!
The route then takes a small country road before reaching and crossing the forest via the Chemin de l'Herberain.
(9) After the forest, the route returns to the countryside until it reaches the entrance to Ellemelle. Please note that at this point, the (marked) trail runs along the edge of the forest. The parallel forest trail shown on the OpenStreetMap background map does not exist/no longer exists.
Exit to the Liège Condroz region from Ellemelle
The Condroz region is full of (small) castles and (large) farms, most of which are built from local stone. Some examples can be found in Ellemelle, Houchenée (castle), Baugnée (farm slightly north-east of the route) and Fraiture. The castle of Baugnée, on the other hand, is of a completely different style.

Picnic tables next to the Fraiture playground, behind the Salle Le D'Zy, next to the church (7).
You can easily shorten the walk by about 3 km by taking the path on the left after Château d'Houchenée, towards the ponds (3). 300 metres further on, before the ponds, there are several options: continue along the wide path to the right and rejoin the original route at (5), or take the path to the left and rejoin the original route at (6) via the Chemin du Facteur.

This is a circular in the Liège Condroz region, mostly through forest, although the start and end are more rural.It is always a pure delight to walk in the woods of Esneux or Anthisnes, whatever the season.Houte-si-Plou has already been the subject of much discussion and, according to legend, much water, as it is said to be a miller asking his son to "listen for rain" when he went to bed and there was not enough water in the stream to run the mill.Nowadays, the expression Houte-si-Plou refers more to an imaginary place, unknown, non-existent or simply located at the end of the world, far from civilisation.

Villers-le-Temple, an ancient village marked by the Middle Ages, is set in a landscape of streams, bridges and paths connecting woods and farmland. Houripont and the Chessaine bridge bear witness to these historical passages. The Wetai and Fond d'Oxhe rivers have carved out cool, shady valleys that accompany the walk.
Around the village, the Bois de Bourgogne recalls its seigneurial history, the Bois des Dames feeds local legends, and the Bellegrange and Chaumont woods alternate between dense forests and bright clearings. Schist and limestone, discreet fauna and forest flora make this hike a peaceful and immersive experience, perfect for observing nature and enjoying the peace and quiet.

This is a lovely route starting from Rotheux, very pleasant and without any notable difficulties, which will take you along the woods and meadows of Bonsgnée, up to Berleur and back to the starting point through pleasant countryside with some lovely views of both sides of the valley.
You may even spot some of the local wildlife, including Highland cattle, geese, horses and other inhabitants of the region.

This fairly long circular loop starting from the Palogne estate (large car park) begins by following the course of the Ourthe for a few kilometres before entering a forest and then countryside setting with numerous panoramic views of the plateau overlooking the Ourthe and its tributaries. On the Ourthe: egrets, ducks, cormorants and herons await you.You will see the rocks and the "beach" of Sy, where you can read an information panel about the aborted Meuse-Moselle canal project. Further on, you will pass close to Lassus Castle, which can be glimpsed between the tall trees in its grounds. In Vieuxville, it is probably the resurgence of the Lembrée that will catch your eye, before you see the limestone grasslands further on and finally the fortified castle of Logne. With a bit of luck (in season), you can even visit (for a fee) the ruins of this fortified castle built on top of a rocky outcrop.
