La Mouline Circular
(S/E) Return to the Chemin du Stade and, immediately after the sign saying ‘Give way’ 50 m on and the Ruisseau de Planquetorte, head right onto the track through the fields. Further on, note a stone cazelle on the other side of the stream. Continue to follow the stream until it joins the Lézert. Walk past the weir and cross the D111, Route du Lézert.
(1) Walk very carefully along the verge of the D111. You’ll come out onto the D69, Chemin du Moulin; turn right and cross the bridge over the Lézert.
(2) Turn right onto Chemin Saint-Exupéry and, as you continue, look at the rear of the mill; turn round to see the three towers of the VOA, the Verrerie Ouvrière d’Albi.
The tarmac road turns into a track opposite the entrance to the house’s garage and ends on Rue Marcel Dassault, in front of a civil engineering firm.
(3) Head towards the company’s entrance and go round the perimeter along Chemin de la Rivière Basse.
The gravel-surfaced, tree-lined path descends gently at the first bend. After the second bend, it runs alongside the River Lézert and leads towards the stadium and the starting point.
Devèze Circular
(S/E) At the stadium, head towards the Lézert, cross it and enter the Bois de la Dévèze, then follow the path which climbs up to the Côte de Lanel. On the road, turn right downhill and pass the entrance to Les Vergnades. After the next bend, cross the bridge.
(4) Turn right onto the Chemin des Écureuils. Follow the stream and head back towards the stadium and the starting car park (S/E).
