Description of the walk

The start of the hike is on the shores of the tiny Lake Ticino. You can get there by taking a small road (Via del Lago) that leaves from the south-east of the village of Campo di Giove. About 1 km from the village, the road ends at the car park at the start of the Sentiero dell'Orso.

(S/E) Head west until you reach a sign presenting the route. Continue in this direction towards a railway viaduct. Pass underneath it. Pass sign no. 2 and continue to the crossroads.

(1) Turn left and climb into the woods. Pass signs no. 3 and then no. 4. Take the forest track south-east to the viewpoint and its picnic tables.

(2) Continue along the forest track towards the south-east until you reach signpost no. 5 and a crossroads.

(3) Head north downhill. Pass under the railway viaduct and arrive at the crossroads.

(4) Take the track on the left, pass sign no. 6 and follow the markings to the car park where you started (S/E).
