The starting point is fairly easy to find by going up the D27: there is a sign for "Sentier Dassy". However, parking is quite difficult; it seems possible to park at the side of the road if there is space. There is also a private car park at the next bend.
(S/E) At the "Sentier Dassy" sign, take the dirt path that runs along the edge of the sugar cane field and follow it for about 200 metres.
(1) Take the path on the right, which is a hairpin bend, and begin the descent down the cliff side. The start is fairly well equipped (handrails, steps), but it quickly becomes very stony and probably quite slippery in wet weather. You will reach a magnificent viewpoint as you pass under the cliff: look up.
(2) The route then winds its way down to the bottom of the ravine.
(3) From this point, the trail follows the edge of Brad de la Plaine at a distance, staying about ten metres above it: there are a few cultivated plots (bananas) and two small houses on the left. You will arrive at Pont de la Liane, which is the lowest point of the route.
(4) After enjoying the view of the river and the ravine, turn around and follow the outward route in the opposite direction to return to the car park (S/E).
