The hike starts at the entrance to the "Hutopia" campsite in the "Chalaval" district of Dieulefit. Coming from Nyons or Montélimar, head towards Bourdeaux on the D638, then turn left towards "Les Vitrouillères" just after and opposite the fire station and gendarmerie. Park before the campsite entrance.
(S/E) The hike begins by continuing along the road; go through the barrier and continue along the path towards the combe or Ravin de Saleras.
(1) Leave the track that branches off to the right and head north, following the bottom of the valley, which will gradually climb. You will reach a fork in the path.
(2) Take the right-hand path and continue through a pretty beech forest. After passing a hairpin bend, you will arrive at the track that leads to the pylons.
(3) Follow this track to the left, heading west until you reach the crossroads at the chapel (Carrefour des Trois Pins).
(4) Continue straight ahead for a round trip to the pylons (about one hour).
(5) After enjoying the spot, return by the same route to the Carrefour des Trois Pins.
(4) On your return, take the path on the left that heads northeast, enters the woods and leads back to the chapel.
(6) Continue along the summit (south-southeast) on a less distinct path through the woods, pass the summit (elevation 939) and descend to a path on the right.
(7) Continue along the ridge path (south-south-west). After a few metres, ignore a path that descends to the left, continue straight ahead and you will soon reach a viewpoint on a rock to the left of the path.
(8) Turn around and return to the start of the trail on the left (ignore the first trail on the right).
(7) Take the path on the left that descends westwards to the forest track near the exit of the valley.
(3). Turn left, follow the track southwards until you leave the woods and quickly take the path through the undergrowth on the right, heading west.
(9) This arrives at the first hairpin bend in the track; take the path on the right which joins a small meadow on the edge of the ridge, above the valley. Continue downhill, south-south-west, cutting across two more hairpin bends and rejoining the track in a bend with a path opposite.
(10) Continue along this path to the right, heading north-northwest, and rejoin the trail taken at the bottom of the valley.
(1) Return to the start of the hike via the same path (S/E).
!! The return between (2) and (1) is a little tedious. (Oh yes, we did it in the opposite direction to the sign to get the descent between (5) and (2), which is too difficult going uphill.
