Rillé walks

Near the village of Rillé, set off to explore the lake and ride along its shores to admire the superb landscapes, fauna and flora, and why not hop aboard a century-old steam train!

A walk through peaceful countryside, across meadows, fields and woods.

Mazières is a village located north of Cinq-Mars, 30 minutes from Tours. The village centre has retained the charm of the villages of the Touraine region, where life was once devoted to agriculture and forestry. The route passes through the woods of the large neighbouring estates. There are views of the vast rural landscapes. The most charming section is undoubtedly the Breuil valley. A pleasant hike that is never monotonous.

This charming village is the starting point for a nature walk through unspoilt countryside with wooded hills and dotted with heritage sites.

Between the Loire and Indre rivers, come and stroll along the old Cher river. You will follow paths through beautiful landscapes such as the "Les Bardeaux de l'Indre" nature reserve and the Port of Bréhémont.

From Cinq-Mars-la-Pile to Mazière-de-Touraine, follow a beautiful stream, the Breuil, which flows through beautiful meadows and feeds numerous ponds.

Starting from Parc des Grillets, this pleasant hike across the plateau takes us through fields and forests to the island pond (Mazières). There is a beautiful viewpoint and on the way back, we will take the mill road through the Breuil valley before returning to the plateau and our starting point. Before or after your visit to the Château d'Ussé, which is rumoured to have inspired Charles Perrault's 'Sleeping Beauty', I suggest a lovely circular route along the Indre and then the Loire. There is the option of stopping for a bite to eat in Bréhémont. Remarkable views of the château.

A beautiful circular route to discover the habitat and nature around Villandry, through the highlands and along the banks of the Cher, with the option of visiting the confluence of the Cher and the Loire and, if you have time, the gardens and the château. The village was called Colombiers in the Middle Ages: the name of its inhabitants remains as a reminder!

This short walk, accessible to all, allows you to discover the variety of landscapes surrounding the charming village of Villandry. You will pass some very pretty old houses, go around the château and its gardens, take some pretty paths lined with hedges and then pass through a small wood before ending your walk along the Cher river. All this in just under an hour!

A pleasant walk through woods and fields, allowing you to discover a few hamlets and a lovely view of the Château de la Chatonnière.

A route in the Azay le Rideau region, in the Chinon forest and then on the heights of the Indre valley. Don't miss: two beautiful residences and the remarkable oak tree at Cheillé church.

In Azay-le-Rideau, if you don't have time to visit the château, the château grounds are open to the public between 5pm and 6pm. While waiting for this "happy hour", I suggest you take a stroll to discover this pretty little village.

Montsoreau and Candes-Saint-Martin are two villages that form a single urban area. They transcend regional boundaries because the Loire and the hillside unite them. This route allows you to discover the white houses scattered along the river and the confluence with the Vienne. This is a walk to be done at sunrise to fully enjoy the light shining on the façades.

A raised walkway showcasing the various attractions of the Saumur region: the Loire, troglodyte dwellings, vineyards alternating with wooded and marshy areas. Please note that the trail is impassable in the event of flooding of the Loire and/or heavy rainfall.

A superb circular hike allowing you to discover Montsoreau, Fontrevaud and Candes-Saint-Martin in their natural setting and localities located in remarkable sites. The circular hike is done anti-clockwise on the hillside to enjoy a pleasant route through the woods and panoramic views of the right bank of the Loire.

A hilly route combining the Loire, vineyards, forest and troglodyte dwellings. Please note: part of the route along the Loire is impassable in the event of flooding. Take care during the hunting season.

In the heart of the Saumur Champigny AOC, between vineyards, wines and troglodyte dwellings. Discover the village of Souzay, its heritage and the diversity of our Loire landscapes.

A hilly route along the hillside through the vineyards. Home to a magnificent 14th-century Romanesque church and the Manoir de Morains, where Marguerite d'Anjou is said to have died. Dampierre-sur-Loire is also renowned as a commune in the Saumur-Champigny appellation. Please note: section along the Loire River impassable in case of flooding.

I invite you to discover a remarkable village in Touraine, Villaines-les-Rochers, the village of basket makers. A varied itinerary takes you through the hamlets of the village, rich in troglodyte houses where many active basket makers live, the Château du Petit Boulay and the surrounding countryside, rich in streams and woods.
