Start: Valdezcaray Ski car park
(S/E) The beginning of the route is a bit conditioned by the chairlifts and other paraphernalia typical of a ski resort. However, progress is quickly made as the path ascends east, then south to Cabeza Parda. Now above 2.000m, the views are spectacular if you're lucky to get a clear day.
(1) Continue southwest along the Sierra de San Lorenzo (part of the Sierra de la Demanda) to reach the dirt track that leads up to the highest cable-car building.
(2) From there, it's a straightforward climb up to the summit of the Cerro San Lorenzo with its hut and statues.
(4) The route back down is to the northwest to reach another cable-car building.
(5) Follow the track east, next to a small lake. Use the dirt tracks to weave your way down to the main ski resort buildings and the car park.(S/E)
