Park near Pointe aux Chevaux.
(S/E) Follow Avenue de la Pointe aux Chevaux towards the forest house until you reach number 72 on the avenue. Opposite, take the small path that runs alongside the forest house. At the end, turn right onto Allée des Oiseaux until you reach the D106. Cross it and take the path opposite. At the end, turn left and then left again (the private road is on the right).
(1) Pass the house with blue shutters and immediately turn right onto the path that runs alongside the grounds of this house on your left. At the roundabout, turn left and take the path opposite lined with broom. Continue until you reach a wooden gate. Go through it and take the path through the pine trees slightly to the left.
(2) When you reach the firebreak, cross it, turn left and then take the first path on the right.
When you reach the second firebreak, cross it and continue straight ahead until you reach the road leading to Le Truc Vert. Cross it and take the path opposite, continuing straight ahead between the pine trees for 400 m.
(3) Turn right onto a small path (not shown on the map). Continue between the willows, gorse and heather and go past a small pine tree across the path. When you reach a three-way junction, turn left (the path on the right is blocked by a fallen pine tree).
At the end of the path, turn left and take the first path on the left lined with arbutus trees until you reach the wind-shaped trees (pines deformed by the wind). Follow the sandy path, taking care not to damage the grey dune flora.
(4) Pass between the branches, respecting the beach grass planted on the white dune, and head to the beach.
Turn left and walk along the beach to the Truc Vert lifeguard station.
(5) Go back up and take the duckboards. At the end, take the path on the left and follow it to the road.
(6) Cross it opposite the entrance to the Truc Vert campsite and go left until you reach the corner of the campsite. Turn right and follow the campsite. At the end, go straight ahead and turn onto the first path on the right. Follow it until you reach the firebreak.
(7) Turn left until you reach the entrance to the Piraillan reservoirs. Enter and follow the path uphill. Do not take the first path on the right that leads to the viewpoint, but turn right immediately after and then right again at the end. Go around the reservoirs until you reach the gate at the edge of the D106.
(8) Leave the Piraillan Reservoirs, remembering to close the gate behind you.
At high tide ( route on the map in this file), follow the D106 to the left until you reach Allée des Écureuils on the right, then take Allée du Rivage on the left. Take Allée Louis Gaume on the right until you reach the jetty. After the toilets, turn left onto Allée du Docteur Delon, pass the "Chai Nous", go through the barrier and continue straight ahead towards the port of Grand Piquey on the right and Villa "Les Hirondelles" on the left.
At low tide and high tide, cross the road and head towards Piraillan beach, then join the Grand Piquey jetty via the beach. Please be careful, as it can be slippery.
(9) If the tide prevents you from reaching the jetty, two staircases 100 metres apart allow you to reach Allée du Rivage.
(10) Then follow the beach to Pointe aux Chevaux (S/E).
