Access: From exit 10 of the southern ring road, head towards Évrecy and Éterville. At the roundabout, follow signs for Éterville, then take the first road on the right which descends towards the hamlet of Rocreuil. At the bottom of the hamlet of Rocreuil (at the sign indicating the entrance to the hamlet in the opposite direction), there is a small car park at the start of the path.
(S/E) Take the path on the same side of the road as the car park (long-distance hiking trail marked in red and white and the route for pilgrims from Caen to Mont-Saint-Michel marked by a sign saying "Les Chemins du Mont-Saint-Michel". The path crosses a branch of the Odon via a wooden footbridge, then runs alongside it on the right. Before the confluence of the two branches of the Odon, turn left to cross the Odon via a wooden footbridge.
Go back into the woods and follow the winding path. As you climb, at the intersection of paths, follow the red and whiteGR® markings to the right, which continue along the edge of the woods and lead to the Éterville road.
(1) Turn left up the Route d'Éterville, then after 100 metres, turn left again onto a communal path. Follow it to reach the hamlet of Rocreuil. Turn left and go down Chemin du Moulin for 100 metres, then turn right onto Rue du Bout au Mesnil.
(2) Before Rue du Bout au Mesnil turns right and goes uphill, take the lane on the left that runs alongside the fields. Ignore the turn on the left and continue uphill towards a local road that turns left and crosses a bridge over the Caen ring road.
(3) After the ring road, continue straight ahead and descend towards a road.
(4) At the crossroads, take the communal road opposite, which continues between the golf course and the lodges, and comes out at Louvigny on the Route d'Aunay
(5) Turn left and follow the road along a footpath towards the greenway of the old Caen-Vire railway line. On the right-hand side of the road is the old Louvigny quay.
(6) Opposite the "quai de Louvigny", on the other side of the road, take the greenway. Cross two bridges, the second of which crosses the Odon, and just before the third, turn right onto the winding path that descends to take you under the bridge. This path is lined with a wooden fence.
(7) Go under the bridge and continue along the path, crossing the Odon twice, until you reach the crossroads you took on the way there.
(4) Turn right and head back up towards the ring road.
(3) Before the bridge over the ring road, take the small path on the right that descends along the ring road to pass underneath it and reach an intersection just after it.
(8) Take the road on the right and follow the Odon River and its meanders, crossing two wooden bridges to reach the Rocreuil car park (S/E).
