Description

Park at the Plateau de Sestriere - there are lots of spaces alongside the road.

(D/A) Cross the meadow and its various streams following signs for the Col de la Braissa. You will pass through larch woodland and follow a wide stream as the path heads uphill. Eventually you will leave the woodland and enter a more meadow-like landscape. To your right you will see a small stone dwelling as you emerge from the woodland.

(1) Continue to follow the path as it travels through meadows and along the banks of a stream. Eventually it will start to turn to the right and you will move through a rockier landscape.

(2) The path steepens and eventually you should reach the Col de la Braïssa from where there are beautiful views. You can choose to turn back here, or if you want to explore some more, descend into the next valley a short distance, following signs for the Col de Sanguiniere. The path descends and passes through an old camp. The path then ascends to the Col de Sanguiniere

(3) Return by the same route.
