A short circular walk starting from Rioclar

Park in the car park near the recycling bins, close to the Rioclar holiday village.

(S/E) Walk down the road and you’ll soon come to a crossroads.

(1) Turn left and follow the road towards La Combe. At the hamlet of Maison Blanche, continue straight ahead along the road. Pass the hamlet of La Combe and you will then reach the Torrent de l’Abéous.

(2) Ford the stream, then turn left onto the wide path running parallel to the stream. Leave this path and keep to the left on the footpath to pass beneath the hamlet of Les Trons. You will then come to another crossroads at the hamlet of Les Derbezis.

(3) Turn left and cross the Abéous again to rejoin the GR^®. Take it to the left and head for the hamlet of Conseiller.

(4) Continue along the^GR®, taking the path on the right, and carry on uphill to reach the original crossroads.

(1) Turn right and follow the same route as on the way there to return to the recycling skips car park (S/E).

(S/E) It is also possible to park on the descent after the recycling bins, though parking is not always easy in July and August.
You may wish to bring high-top hiking boots depending on the water level of the Abéous
