Short circular loop in the Bois du Bager

Park in the car park, opposite the Borne Douze Forest Hut.

(S/E) Walk round the hut on the right, go through the gate and set off along the forest track, which is suitable for vehicles.
Walk for about 1 km and pass the first junction.

(1) Carry on straight ahead; do not turn right onto the track that goes downhill, and continue for a further 150 m or so. You will reach another junction.

(2) At this second track junction, turn right. Walk straight on for about 900 m. The track then turns into a forest path. Continue straight on, keeping to your right for about 550 m until you reach the next junction.

(3) At the junction, turn right, leaving the path that runs alongside the Gave de Pau to take the one that leads back into the heart of the forest. Walk for about 200 m until the path turns into a forest track suitable for vehicles. Follow this track for about 350 m until you reach another junction.

(4) At the junction, carry on straight ahead. Do not turn left, but continue for about 500 m until you reach the first junction.

(1) At this junction, turn left and retrace your steps until you reach the forest hut and the car park (S/E).
