A short circular loop at Pointe de Saint-Gildas

The Pointe de Saint Gildas offers an exceptional view over Bourgneuf Bay and the Loire Estuary, and is one of the most visited sites in the Pays de Retz. It is a strategic location, as evidenced by the blockhouses which, during the Second World War, helped to defend the Saint-Nazaire submarine base.

I did more or less the same route in mid-June, and if I may say so, it’s a real shame to publish an account of such a walk without illustrating it with at least a few photos. The scenery at Pointe Saint-Gildas certainly deserves to be showcased, to make readers want to make the trip to see it for themselves.
Kind regards.
