Description of the walk

Start from the car park at the church square.

(S/E) Head north and follow the Route de Montgermont (D41) towards La Butte ès Gros. After about 250 m, turn right onto a small path. Cross a road and continue straight ahead.

(1) When the road bends to the right, take a grassy path on the left. After a left-hand bend, rejoin the D41.

(2) Cross the road carefully and carry on straight ahead. When you reach the La Bélangerie farm, carry on straight ahead and ignore a turn-off on the right.

(3) Cross the D231 with care, then pass the Moulin de la Fosse. Continue along a winding track.

(4) You’ll come out onto a small road; follow it to the left to pass through the hamlet of Le Petit Champillon. Further on, pass through the hamlet of Le Grand Champillon. At the junction, turn left and cross the bridge over the River Lerre.

(5) At the next junction, take a track on the right and pass the sewage treatment works. Continue along the track to the Grand Moulin le Comte.

(6) Carry on along the road. Ignore a road on the left. Cross the D231 with care and continue along the path opposite.

(7) Join a road and follow it to the left. Pass the hamlet of La Vauverderie on your right until you reach a T-junction. Then turn right to reach the church at Bacilly (S/E).
