There are a few parking spaces at the edge of Route du Col Amic, in front of the children’s playground. Park there.
(S/E) Take the path that goes round the playground and the picnic tables, then turn left onto the tarmac path.

(1) At the wayside shrine, turn left, then climb through the vineyards to the top of the path.
(2) At the junction with the Route de la Montée des Malgré Nous, turn right, pass the Rote Rain Memorial and take the first path on the right. Follow the Way of the Cross to the junction from which you can see Thierenbach Basilica.

(3) Here, I chose to walk around the pond, but it is possible to stay on the signposted route. Walk up to the basilica and go round it on the left.
(4) At the junction between the basilica and the lower part of the Ferme des Moines restaurant, turn right and take the path that runs alongside the road on the left, heading down to the village of Jungholtz.

(5) At the junction with the D5.I (Rue de Soultz), cross over and continue straight on for about a hundred metres along Rue de l’Usine.
No signposting
(6) Head up the hidden path between the blue house (no. 8) and the coral-coloured house (no. 6). After a short climb through the woods, alongside the vineyards, take the path that climbs to the left of the last of the vines. The summit is a few metres further on, then begin the descent.

(7) As you emerge from the small copse, turn left at the crossroads. Continue until the path becomes a small tarmac road.

(8) At the junction near the small isolated house, turn right. A little further on, turn left to walk carefully alongside the D5.I, then cross the road even more carefully (there is no pedestrian crossing) to take the first right.
