Between Sienne and Hambyotte, this route invites you to discover the Normandy countryside via numerous sunken lanes where, in the meadows that line them, Prim'Holstein cows, originally from Holland, mingle with Normande cows, the region's emblematic breed. At the end of the route, Hambye Abbey awaits you with its13th-century chapter house.

This picturesque little village, nestled in the heart of the Sienne Valley, will enchant you with its peaceful setting and lush greenery. Its few houses, built from local stone, surround the church. You will notice that the slopes of this valley are covered with beech trees, whose hard, uniform wood is used in carpentry and cabinetmaking, as well as simply for firewood.

Le parcours de randonnée vous mènera vers les méandres des deux rivières qui serpentent sur le territoire, la Sienne et la Bérence, qui font le bonheur des randonneurs comme des pêcheurs de salmonidés.

De cet endroit, nommé le Mont, vous apprécierez la vue imprenable sur la commune et ses environs, dominés par la cathédrale gothique de Coutances. Le sentier vous mènera derrière le Château de Cerisy-la-Salle, devenu Centre Culturel International. Toutes les cultures s'y rencontrent chaque année lors de colloques très prisés.

A beautiful route in the heart of nature, along the Vire river, very quiet and very pleasant.

Coutances, the historic former capital of the Cotentin, offers a contrasting spectacle of countryside almost within the city. This hike takes you through the outskirts of the town, winding its way through the three valleys that surround it, each with its own lazy river. Half on land and half on roads or alleyways, the urban passages allow you to discover a small part of Coutances' heritage, despite the industrial area that spoils the pleasure a little, but you quickly forget about that.

A short walk for the whole family, starting from the village of Hudimesnil. You can enjoy the park, which is ideal for picnics with its ponds and children's playground.

Just 3 km from the coast, this route takes us through the Normandy countryside, mainly along paths and trails.

A varied hike that alternates between paths and small country roads and coastal trails, with beautiful views and attractive heritage buildings along the way.

Ce territoire, facilement accessible de la côte et de l'intérieur du Cotentin par des chemins de grande randonnée constitue un trait d'union géographique entre Saint-Lô, la capitale du cheval et Coutances, Pays d'art et d'Histoire. C'est un territoire vallonné qui comprend de nombreuses zones humides (marais). Il est traversé par la voie romaine (D 535) qui reliait Abrincae, nom romain d'Avranches et Alauna, Valognes.

Starting from the village mill, set off to explore the sunken lanes of Muneville-le-Bingard. Some of the sunken paths were reopened by volunteers from the Bocage et Patrimoine Munevillais association in 2024. A few paths are maintained by volunteers, depending on their availability, and the grass may be a little high at certain times of the year.

In the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel, a hike mostly along the coastal path, along the salt marshes. On either side of the Grouin du Sud, you can enjoy a superb view of Mont Saint-Michel and, from the point itself, the spectacle of the rising tide is impressive. Returning inland, you can visit the beautiful and moving Romanesque chapel of the Priory of Saint-Léonard.

Walk from Saint-Jean-le-Thomas to Cabane Vauban, along the coastal path and then back inland.

Along the way, you will enjoy views of Mont Saint-Michel, the Vauban huts and the Lude Valley, passing through the valley of the painters, before heading back up into the countryside, passing through the marshes and the village of Kairon to arrive in the Beausoleil district of Saint-Pair.

In the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel, a hike mainly along the coastal path with an almost permanent view of the bay and the Mont. From the tip of the Grouin du Sud, the spectacle of the rising tide is superb. A loop inland allows you to visit the beautiful and moving Romanesque chapel of the Prieuré Saint-Léonard.

Although "Belle Eau" is the name of a hamlet located at the northernmost point of this route, hikers will be amazed from the outset by the water gushing through the rocks in magnificent waterfalls. The route continues along wide paths, often bathed by runoff water from the various branches of the Cance, and ends on a high note with the panorama offered at altitude 314, famous not only for its small chapel but also for the battles that took place there in August 1944.

This walk alternates between hedgerow paths, country lanes and forest sections, making for a pleasant, partly shaded stroll, ideal in summer. The final path, recently upgraded, leads to the lake whilst offering a lovely view of the wet heathland and La Feuillie church.
