Park in the car park by the town hall and church in Marzy.

(S/E) Turn left onto Rue Principale.

(1) Pass Rue du Riot on your left; this will be your return route. Continue straight on, following Rue de Rougeon until you reach a multi-way junction.

(2) Turn left onto Route du Panorama and stay on it. Pass by the water tower.

(3) Turn right near the car park (picnic table) to reach the Bec d’Allier viewing platform: exceptional views of the confluence of the Loire and the Allier. Join Route du Panorama and continue downhill, turning right.

(4) Before reaching the Loire, turn left. At the nearby junction, continue left along the Chemin du Vernay.

(5) At a place called Le Vernay, take the path on the left, known as Rue du Bois Guitton. Follow it without turning off, climbing up to the entrance to Marzy and ending up on Rue du Riot, which joins Rue Principale and the original junction.

(1) Turn right and return to the car park (S/E).

Bar, restaurant and a few shops in Marzy. Carrefour supermarket and retail park 4 km away.

Nevers railway station 10 km away. City bus service to Nevers.

Marzy church , village, former vineyards (piles of stone gathered from fields), panoramic view of the Bec d'Allier, banks of the Loire.

Near Nevers. La Sangsue Aerodrome: air sports, gliding, parachuting, aerobatics.
