Ovar walks

Between land and sea, the entire walk takes place on wooden walkways that allow you to easily venture into the heart of the lagoon to discover, without difficulty, the flora and fauna of this very special place.

During this walk, you’ll pass through landscapes typical of this region (pine and eucalyptus forests, etc.), and the highlight will be the old Santa Maria da Feira stadium, now disused but still in good condition. Not to mention the beautiful views of the surrounding countryside from the higher ground.

A day spent strolling around Aveiro, along the canals and in the historic centre.

A lovely walk along the Douro; the return route is just as good, and you arrive at the monastery with a view of Porto. You then head down through the narrow streets of Gaia to reach the quay, cross the Douro via the iron bridge, and make your way back to the tower through Old Porto. A lovely walk that costs nothing...

Immerse yourself in the soul of Porto on this walk through some of the city's most iconic locations. From the majestic Torre dos Clérigos with its exceptional views, to São Bento station with its historic azulejos, to the Lello bookshop that inspired Harry Potter, this cultural walk will take you from the spirituality of Baroque churches to the peaceful gardens of Cordoaria. An authentic journey that combines architectural heritage, a thousand years of history and natural beauty, revealing the secrets of a timeless city where every stone tells the story of Portugal. A unique immersive experience to understand the essence of this city on the Douro, between tradition and modernity, in the enchanting setting of its cobbled streets and breathtaking views.

Hike along the Paiva footbridges trail, passing the 516-metre-long Arouca footbridge. In March, there are very few people, which is ideal for the location (as you have to pass others on the steps). To do the round trip, you need to start from Areinho. There is a car park below the road and a bar-restaurant (with toilets) offering provisions for the hike, so it’s the perfect starting point. The steps begin very soon after setting off. The site offers a taxi service to take you back to the starting point.
