North Cliffs to Tehidy Country Park woods (Circular/Same way)

Start : Car Park along the North Cliffs (TR14 0HQ) Grid Ref. SW 61973 42953 , W2W-united.currently.eggshell__

(S/E) From the car park, follow the South West Coast Path, along North Cliff in a North-East direction, to the gate leading into farm fields. Go through the gate and follow along the designated path within the field. There is a strip of field that has been left to "rewild". This is new, so would be interesting to see as time goes.

(1)After 1.1 Km or so, at the end of the field and next to the farm gate leading into the next field, turn right South- East.

(2) At the end of the path cross the main road (B3301), care as the road bends away from sight. Be visible and not obscured by the roadside vegetation. Crossing the road and slightly right, through the driveway with cattle grid entrance, signed "Rangers Cottage". Follow on down the drive.

(3)Now enter the Tehidy Country Park where there are designated, colour-coded circular walk routes. Look out for the route marker posts.

(4)This takes the route off track and through the woods where there are several well-trodden tracks. Track down through the wood and pick up the Rangers drive and return from the waypoint (3) to the start using the same way returning back through the fields and Coast Path. (S/E)

A walk from a car park along the North Cliffs, between Godrevy and Portreath Cornwall, there are several, parking turn-ins, which are optional depending on parking spaces available in them.
Parking is free but NO camping.

⚠️Terrain :

• The coast path is very close to the edge of the cliff edge with potentially 80m drops
• Do not lean over the edge of the cliff, or lean on the vegetation (bushes)to look, The bushes can be right on the edge of the cliff edge.
• Ensure "young people and dogs are under control at all times.
• Care when crossing the road, traffic can be quick, and your visibility with the roadside vegetation. Ensure extra care when crossing the road, especially in a mixed group.

Dog policy : Dogs must be kept under control.

• Take in the rugged coastline
• If venturing into the Park further than this route, see the "twisted Beech tree, the lake, and the birds. It has been known for birds and squirrels to feed out of the hand.
• There is an open-air theatre, which performs periodically within the Park
