Low walls and boulders on the Montagne de la Serre

In Nadailat, park at the bottom of the village near the cemetery.

(S/E) Cross the road towards the small yellow signs and climb the path towards "Rouillat Haut". Ignore a path on the right further on, then pass a cross and a bench on the right. Shortly afterwards, the path turns right (at an altitude of 914m) and continues uphill.

(1) At the "Truilière" signpost, turn left towards "Tertre de Fontarbre". At the "Tertre de Fontarbre" signpost, turn left towards "Chagourdat". After a right-hand bend, you will come to a T-junction.

(2) Continue left.

(3) Ignore a path on the right and turn left. Further on, you will come to a road, the D96.

(4) Follow this quiet road to the right for about 700 metres, passing a naturist campsite (Serre de Portelas) on your right.

(5) When you reach the "Chagourdat" signpost, follow the lane on the left towards "Moulin de Fligny" (this sign is incorrect; it should say "Moulin de Flory").

(6) At the end of the lane, at the entrance to the Chagourdat estate (horse boarding facility), continue along the path that branches off to the left of the cross and descends, skirting around the estate. You will arrive at the site of the former Moulin de Flory (the mill no longer exists).

(7) In front of the "Moulin de Flory" sign (south), turn right and follow a small diversion canal on your left (Chaos de Flore on your right). Continue along the path that runs alongside the Auzon, slightly higher up. About 600m further on, ignore two paths on the right in quick succession. After a short descent, you will come to a footbridge over the Auzon.

(8) Cross and go up the path to reach the pond. Continue to the "Étang de la Prairie" signpost and follow the path on the left towards "Chaos de Flore" to return to the site of the old Moulin de Flory.

(9) Ignore the path on the right to cross the bridge over the Auzon river, then, facing the "Moulin de Flory" sign (north), turn right towards "Nadaillat". Immediately ignore the paths on the right.

(10) Further on, the slope becomes steeper as the path heads north. Ignore a path on the right as the route turns west.

(11) Further on, ignore a path on the left. Shortly afterwards, at a fork, take the left path, then the right path at a second fork a few steps further on. You will arrive at a road, the D96.

(12) Follow the Rue de la Fontaine to the left, which climbs towards the centre of Nadailat. When you reach the fountain, go down the street on your left. Pass in front of the church and continue downhill to rejoin the D96, opposite the cemetery (S/E).

(S) At the very beginning of the route, there are a series of small drinking troughs on the right-hand side of the path.

Between (1) and (2) Just after (1), note a first small shelter in a low wall on the right. About 200 metres further on, note another shelter in a meadow on the left, then another a little further on, in the low wall at the end of the meadow on the right, just before reaching (2).

Between (2) and (5) Beautiful views to the south.

(7) A beautiful poplar tree, on which a fir tree is beginning to grow.
A few metres further on, discover the Chaos de Flore and its dolmen, slightly higher up on the right.

(8) The Auzon, and the leat from the Étang de la Prairie overflow.

(9) Remains of the diversion canals of the old mill.
