Description of the walk

Start: Park in the White Horse Hill parking lot and head for the building.
Orange waymarkers

(S/E) At the building with the toilets, turn left, passing the overnight car park. The path starts just at the exit of the car park. It's a good gravel path to join the first junction.

(1) Turn right, then left at the second junction. The path descends a little and then rises again.

(2) After a while, the path is laid out with steps for most of the climb up to Sealy Tarns 600 m higher.

(3) At Sealy Tarns, turn right to enjoy the view and potentially sit down, before taking the path back up, which is no longer laid but just marked with orange waypoints.

(4) Pass through a scramble slope, paying attention to the stability of the rocks, and follow the waymarkers until you reach the ridge and turn right to enjoy the view. Then continue on the other side of the mountain, flatter but still surrounded by boulders.

(5) Reach Mueller Hut and enjoy the view. Then retrace your steps carefully down to the car park. (S/E)

Worth a visit

It's possible to continue up to the nearby summit for a wider view, but there are no signs or marked trails, just a few cairns amidst boulders.
