Car park in Vresse-sur-Semois, Rue Albert Raty, opposite numbers 16-19.
(S/E) Head towards the centre of the village and turn right towards the village of Laforêt via the Pont Saint-Lambert bridge. Continue halfway up the hill, to the end of the cemetery.
(1) After number 8 and opposite the upper end of the cemetery, turn right onto the dirt track that runs alongside a hedge and curves to the left a little further on to run alongside some pastures. After the first pasture on the right, there is a hay meadow next to a coniferous wood.
(2) Turn right into this meadow, following the pasture fence (path not very visible); at the end, turn right onto the path running behind the same pasture; this soon disappears into the undergrowth and is joined (on the left) by another path. Continue straight ahead on the path running alongside the Semois, somewhat perpendicular to and at a distance from it for about 3 km. Ignore the paths going up to the left until you reach the La Bon'ne Heur'e campsite in Membre-sur-Semois.
(3) Before the main entrance to the campsite, take the path on the far left and begin a long climb up the hillside, with a sharp right turn halfway up.
The path leads to a clearing with an observation tower offering a wide view of the Semois valley.
(4) Then take the path on the far left, opposite the viewpoint. The path soon leaves the woods and runs alongside them (on the right) and an open area (on the left). Initially flat, the path eventually descends and joins a large crossroads.
(5) Turn left onto the path that runs alongside the open area (on the left) and the edge of the woods, before finally entering the woods and beginning the descent. After a right-hand bend, the descent becomes steeper for 250 metres, until you reach a three-way intersection.
(6) As the path curves to the left, keep to the right on the trail (not very visible at first) running along the hillside, following a contour line. The trail joins some pastures and turns left, widening as it does so. It soon joins a small tarmac road. Follow this downhill to the next crossroads.
(7) Before number 47 on the street, and opposite the fountain, take the path on the left (Sentier des Légendes) and follow it for about 400 m, then turn right onto the grassy path that descends towards the Laforêt cemetery. Join the main street of the village and go down it on the left to reach the first fork you passed on the way there.
(1) Continue towards the village of Vresse-sur-Semois, cross the bridge, and turn left towards the car park (S/E).
