Description of the walk

Start from the Trinity Chapel.

(S/E) Head west towards Melgven, following the Route de la Trinité.

(1) After a left-hand bend, take the dirt track branching off to the left. Follow this track and the road that continues it as far as the village of Melgven. Cross the road near the bar-tobacconist’s and walk past the church to the roundabout.

(2) Carry on straight ahead, taking the Route de la Boissière towards Concarneau (D44). Follow this road.

(3) Turn right towards Kerdaïc just before the bridge over the N165. Follow this road and the track that continues it, running alongside the expressway. Carry on up to the hamlet of Kermoalic. Head to the right. Ignore Kerambastard on your right.

(4) At the hamlet of Clun Cam, take the track that branches off to the left at the bend. When the track splits in two, follow the one on the right to cross the Run and take the track on the right immediately afterwards. Cross the road and continue along the track to reach the Chapel of Coat an Poudou.

(5) Cross the Cadol road and carry on past Minuellou. Turn right, then, at the bend to the left, continue to follow the road.

(6) Take the path at the bottom of this road. Pass Stang Coat Aven and continue along the path to cross the River Moros. Ignore a path on the left.

(7) Turn right past the hamlet of Coat Aven and take the path leading off to the left after the right-hand bend. Carry on past Coat an Drézec until you reach the road at the hamlet of Kerlijour.

(8) Turn right and follow the road to Croas ar C’haon.

(9) When you reach the power lines, turn left and continue along this track to the Chapel of the Trinity (S/E).

An interesting route from a heritage perspective, featuring the chapels of La Trinité and Coat-An-Podou (both of which were closed).
Pleasant little shaded paths (it was very hot!). I enjoyed crossing the Moros. A little less so between the village of Melgven and the N165 (traffic, noise along the dual carriageway...)

The first part of the route is rather uninteresting and poorly signposted. Lots of road. Noisy as it runs alongside a dual carriageway. The second part is better signposted and more pleasant. Country lanes, monuments. The route could do with some improvement.
