Park in the car park at the end of Rue du Lutzelbach.
(S/E) Head up the path marked with a Yellow Cross; a steady, easy climb in the shade. You’ll come out onto a forest track.
(1) Cross it and take the path marked with a Red Rectangle crossed out in white opposite.
(2) Pass the Fontaine du Chevreuil and continue to the next crossroads.
(3) Turn left to follow the path marked with a Red Rectangle until you reach Château du Haut Ribeaupierre.
(4) The highest point of the hike, the castle is currently being restored: the tower is expected to be accessible in 2025. Then descend via a direct path towards Château Saint-Ulrich: take care, there are difficult sections over rocky ground, one of which is secured by a handrail. Reach the castle.
(5) Head off to the left and you’ll soon reach Château du Girsberg.
(6) Turn back towards Château Saint-Ulrich.
(5) Turn left onto the path marked with a Red Rectangle, known as the Chemin de la Gloriette. Please note: there are difficult sections through rocky terrain, one of which is secured by a handrail. You will emerge opposite the Lycée Ribeaupierre.
(7) Turn left then right to reach the car park (S/E).
