The mountains from Angres

Start from the Jesse Owen sports hall.

(S/E) With the hall behind you, head left. At the end, turn left onto Rue Anne Franck and continue to a junction.

(1) Turn right and continue straight ahead.

(2) Go straight ahead, then cross the road, continue straight ahead along Rue des Ornes and carry on until you reach Rue des Normands. Cross it.

(3) Take the side street on the right. At the end, turn left. At the fork, keep right and continue straight on until you reach a junction.

(4) Turn right onto Rue de Givenchy and continue along this street, ignoring the three paths on the left.

(5) Head straight on, onto Rue Raoul Briquet, and continue to the town hall.

(6) First turn right then left, and continue straight on until you reach the path on the left after the chapel.

(7) Turn left, pass the old station, then the pigsty, and reach the first crossroads.

(8) Take the track on the right, towards Ablain-Saint-Nazaire.

(9) Turn right, then cross the road and continue straight on. After the bend, turn left, then take a right-left turn, and continue straight on until you reach a junction.

(10) Take the path on the right and head up to Notre-Dame-de-Lorette.

(11) Cross the road and take the side lane on the left. Go round the cemetery and head towards the café, then take the track on the left and join the road.

(12) Take the path down to the left, then take the first left to reach a crossroads.

(13) Turn left, pass two junctions, then turn right twice, and continue straight on until you reach the Route du Roi d'Angleterre (second road junction).

(14) Cross the road and continue straight ahead until you reach another road.

(15) Go straight ahead, then take the first left, and continue straight on until you reach the D937.

(16) Cross the road, go straight ahead, then take the second right, until you pass under the A26.

(17) Take the D58e2 on the left, go under the A26, cross the road and continue to the right, before turning onto the path on the left and continuing straight ahead, until you reach the street called Maisonnerais du Bois des Bruyères.

(18) Turn right; at the end, turn left onto Route de Souchez. Cross the road and take the second street on the right. Follow the A26 and continue straight ahead to reach (S/E).

Two alternatives:

-At (7), take the path on the right, turn right at the end and head for point (16), approximately 11 km.

- At (11), take the D58e3 to the right and head to (15), approximately 15 km.

At the point (7) take the track on the right, at the end first turn right then left, and continue to the point (15) for approximately 13 km.
