From Saint-Lary-Soulan, follow the D929 towards Aragnouet.
At the hamlet of Fabian, continue right on the D929, also known as the Route des Lacs.
After the Edelweiss hairpin bends, turn right onto the D177 towards the Refuge Hôtel d'Orédon.
Go through the toll booth and park in the car park on the left, on the eastern side of Lac d'Orédon.
(S/E) Leave the car park heading north along the path that runs alongside the lake. This path quickly turns westwards.
As it moves away from the lake, the path climbs and winds through the forest. It passes close to the Route des Lacs (D177) twice.
(1) Once you reach the shores of Laquettes, continue along this second lake.
The climb begins again at the end of the lake to reach the foot of the Lac d'Aubert dam.
(2) Continue to the right, heading north, leaving the car park at the end of the road on your right, and continue to Lac d'Aumar.
(3) Go around the lake on the left and follow its northern shore. Leave the two paths on your left at the two successive forks.
At the end, turn right and join the road, leaving the path coming from Col d'Aumar on your left.

(4) Just before the road, continue on the left.
Continue east-southeast through the Pinède des Passades d'Aumar pine forest.
Leave the Fontaine de l'Ermite fountain on your right (I didn't see it myself) and continue towards the Col d'Estoudou pass.

(5) Just after a fountain on the right, leave theGR®®10by turning right.
Caution! The descent to Lac d'Orédon is very steep (300m elevation loss over 1300m).
Cross the access road to the Refuge Hôtel d'Orédon and turn right to reach the car park (S/E).
