The heights of Vieille-Brioude from Costes-Cirgues to Dintillat via Le Monteil

The starting point is at the top of the village of Costes-Cirgues at a place called Le Panorama.

(S/E) Head south downhill. Do not rely on the markings as the route does not necessarily follow them. Follow Rue du Champ Charais.

(1) At the crossroads, turn left until you reach the next crossroads.

(2) Continue along the path, ignoring the paths on the left and right.

(3) At the crossroads, first turn left then right and cross the village of Le Monteil.

(4) At the village exit (elevation 621), turn right until you reach a road.

(5) Follow it to the right and at the crossroads, go straight ahead on a path until the next crossroads (elevation 616).

(6) Turn left onto the track until you reach an intersection (elevation 600).

(7) Take the track on the right until you reach the GR®470.

(8) Follow it to the right, continuing straight ahead.

(9) Go around Dintillat, following the red and white markings to Coste Cirgues.

(10) Continue right along Grand Rue until you reach the initial fork.

(1) Continue straight ahead along Rue du Champ Charais to return to the car park (S/E) via the same route you took on the way there.
