Park in the Aurigon car park (there are two), located on the D17 on the left after the junction with the D46 when coming from Aix-en-Provence.
(S/E) Continue north on the yellow and red marked trail that crosses the stream. Walk along a large meadow on your right and pass under the high-voltage power line. At the junction, there is a red fire hydrant; turn right, following the green signs. At the end of the meadow, at the junction, turn right (signposted "Refuge Cézanne") and cross the bridge. Follow the red and white signs with a green line. The path climbs gently towards the Croix de Provence.
(1) Viewpoint on the left, at the hairpin bend, take the path that climbs up the rock to enjoy the unobstructed view of the Roques Hautes valley and the beautiful colours of the Bau Roux. Return to the path.
Go past the hairpin bend on the right. Red/white markings and green line. When you reach the crossroads, turn left (signposted "Refuge Cézanne") and follow the green line towards the Croix de Provence. Second viewpoint of the Sainte-Victoire mountain with the Baux Roux and Cézanne in the foreground. Reach the Refuge Cézanne and the ruins of the hamlet of Trou.
(2) At the refuge house, take the western path that climbs up to the chapel. At the exit of the ruins, take the path on the right, marked with a brown line. A magnificent view opens up over the ridges of Le Trou. You will reach a crossroads.
(3) Take the path on the right that descends. At the next crossroads, continue straight ahead downhill (towards the chimneys of Gardanne in the distance), marked with a blue dot. At the crossroads, turn left downhill, marked with a red line. This red route leads to a wider path after a flight of wooden steps. Take this path on the right, which climbs slightly and leads to a hairpin bend.
(4) Take the track that descends (sign for Parc Départemental de Roques Hautes). When you reach a meadow with beehives and a windsock (paragliding landing area), continue along the path on the left.
(5) At the junction with a small path that descends to the left, take it (signposted VTT3 Orange). Reach a pile of rocks, cross the small ditch and keep to the path opposite. This path then descends to the left of the Riouffe (a small stream, dry in summer).
(6) Before reaching the oratory, take the path on the right (VTT3 Orange route). You will then reach a wide white gravel path; follow it to the left. Stay on this path until you reach the car park (S/E)
