From the RD17 departmental road at Valflaunès, take the RD17E6 towards Pompignan. The road winds its way up and reaches a crossroads at the top of the hill. At a sharp right-hand bend, turn left onto the D 122 towards Rouet and park immediately on the side of the road.
(S/E) Head north, cross the RD17E6 immediately and take the path opposite. Quickly turn right onto the wide, open path (beautiful views). Above the hairpin bend in the road, the path becomes steep and joins the forest track below. Turn left and follow the signs for Rocher de Gourdou.
(1) Take the path on the right to reach the cliffs of the climbing site. Be careful here: this site is not secured. Very beautiful views. After walking along the ridge of this cliff, return to the signpost.
(1) Take the path again, turning right towards the north. Climb up to a small pass and a Y-junction. Leave the path that descends and take the path on the left, which climbs up a ravine and turns into rocky steps in places. You will come to a junction with a path that descends.
(2) Turn right, heading north, onto this slightly steep path before it becomes easier going. Continue almost flat to join theGRP® Tours in the Grand Pic Saint-Loup.
(3) Take it on the left and follow the red and yellow markings. After a right-angle bend, cross the D17E7. Cross it and continue opposite on the GRP®. Further on, the route overlooks a forest track for a few metres then climbs left in a sharp bend.
(4) Beautiful viewpoint. Leave theGRP® here and take a path on the left. Follow the ridge, keeping roughly parallel to it. Wind your way along the flat ridge of the causse without taking any other branches. Then, after a short steep climb, you will come to a path running perpendicular to you. Turn left to join the RD17E7 near the Capucin crossroads.
(5) Cross it. Immediately, the path divides into a Y. Take the right branch, which quickly becomes a path that heads south between the RD and the ridge. Continue for 500 m and you will come to a small clearing with a crossroads. Turn left, approach the ridge and then descend slightly to reach a Y.
(6) Ignore the path that descends to the left between the rocks, turn right onto the ascending path to reach the antenna enclosure less than 100 m away. Go around it on the right to reach the enclosure gate.
Take the small road that descends and, at the entrance to the right-hand bend, leave it and take a path on the left that disappears into the fairly dense vegetation. Follow the ridge, winding through the heath. You will reach the Menhir de Juoilles. Take the path southwards to return to the car park (S/E).
