(S/E) From the police station, enter the park via Avenue du Belloy. Go around Lac Supérieur on the right. Come out onto Boulevard des États-Unis and follow it to the left. Take thefirst left, Rue des Réservoirs. At the crossroads, take thesecond right, Avenue Alfred de Musset.
(1) Follow the wide, quiet Avenue du Grand Veneur to the left, passing the roundabout and its statue of a deer, and continue to the Grand Lac.
(2) Turn right and follow the lake on your left. Take the North Bridge to reach Île des Ibis. Turn right immediately to go around the island in a counterclockwise direction (passing in front of a restaurant). Leave the island via the South Bridge.
(3) Turn right immediately and follow the lake on your right. Return to Avenue du Grand Veneur and follow it straight ahead to Le Vésinet-Le Pecq. Take the underground passageway at the station and join Lac de la Station on the other side.
(4) Turn left, follow Avenue Georges Bizet and walk along Lac de la Station at a distance on your right. At the crossroads, follow Boulevard Carnot on the right. Then turn right onto Avenue Rembrandt and cross a branch of the lake. Shortly afterwards, follow Avenue Médéric (grassy lane) on the left. Cross Boulevard d'Angleterre and continue along the lane.
(5) Go around the République roundabout on the left and follow Boulevard Carnot opposite, which soon becomes Avenue Jean Jaurès. Just before the bridge, go down the steps on the left that lead to the banks of the Seine.
(6) Turn left and walk along the Seine on your right, following the Quai de l'Orme de Sully promenade and then Boulevard de la Libération. Stay on the towpath. Pass the settling basins and pumping stations of the Suez factory.
(7) At the corner of the factory, turn left onto Allée des Machines. At the end, cross Chemin de Ronde and continue straight ahead to Lac Inférieur. Then turn right and follow the lake. You will come out onto Allée du Lac Inférieur. Follow it to the left. Take thefirst left, Allée Cécile Chaminade. At the end, turn right onto Allée de l'Île du Rêve. At the end, turn left, cross Boulevard du Président Roosevelt and take Avenue de Lorraine. Cross Route de Croissy and continue along Avenue d'Alsace.
(8) When you reach the river, turn right onto Promenade d'Oakwood and follow the river on your left. Further on, cross the river and immediately turn right to follow it on your right. Cross Avenue Georges Clemenceau and continue along the river, now on Promenade d'Unterhaching. You will arrive at Lac de Croissy.
(9) Go around the lake on the right and pass in front of the large house of Louis Gilbert (1890). At the end, turn right and take the Pont de Croissy over the railway line. Continue on Boulevard des États-Unis.
N.B. Here, you can return directly to the starting point by continuing along Boulevard des États-Unis. The route takes you to the centre of Le Vésinet before returning to the starting point.
(10) Turn left onto Rue Henri Cloppet towards the town centre. Cross Avenue Charles de Gaulle. At the roundabout that follows, continue straight ahead, still on Rue Henri Cloppet. Go straight ahead until you reach the Church of Sainte-Marguerite.
(11) With your back to the church, turn left (north) onto Rue du Maréchal Foch. Take thefirst right, Rue Alphonse Pallu, then thefirst left, Rue du Maréchal Joffre. You will come out onto Boulevard Carnot; turn right and follow it. Cross the boulevard at the traffic lights and continue along it, passing a secondary school and then a primary school. This will take you back to your starting point (S/E).
