The route starts from the Les Sablons de Corquoy Sensitive Natural Area.
An information board marks the entrance – a blue sign. The name of the route indicates the start of this walk.
(S/E) Walk along the Sensitive Natural Area. Two signs invite you to explore this unique site. Continue until you reach a tarmac road leading to the hamlet of La Petite Roche. Walk past a house until you reach a Stop sign. Cross the D35 with care and continue along the path opposite
(1) At the first crossroads, ignore the GR®41 marked path on your right and continue straight ahead, skirting the Bois du Canton de la Roche.
(2) At the edge of the woods, turn left to cross the D73 with care. Continue straight ahead through the Les Usages de la Roche woods along a very narrow path (markings on the ground).
(3) Leave the woods by crossing a small ditch. When you reach a field, walk along the edge of the woods on your right, then turn left and left again. Cross the Lapan Communal Woods
(4) At the Fork in the road, take the path on the left to reach the village of Lapan and follow the Chemin des Pêcheurs.
(5) Pass Lapan church, cross the D35 with care and continue straight on along the Chemin d’Houet. Take the bridge to cross the Cher.
(6) Go over the railway line and continue straight on, following the same signposting, GRP® La Champagne Berrichonne. Cross the D27 with care, pass the hamlet of Houet d'en Haut and continue due west towards the Forêt Gidée.
(7) Leave the GRP® and turn left to reach the Rond du Bois D'Houet.
(8) Turn right, avoiding the wide track. Cross a small stream and continue straight on to Chemin d’Effe, where you join the GR®41.
(9) Turn left. After about 500 m, at the first junction, continue straight ahead.
(10) At the next junction, turn left onto the wide, stony path. At the hamlet of Effe, turn right, carefully cross the D27, the railway line, then the River Cher via a bridge, to return to Les Sablons de Corquoy (S/E). Warning! This route is for cyclists only, as pedestrians are not permitted on this bridge.
