Parking is available in the car park near Fort Vauban and the South Port of Fouras.
(S) Head north along Rue Vauban and then Avenue Charles de Gaulle until you reach the junction with Rue de l'Amiral Courbet.
(1) Continue north on a path that runs alongside the street and goes around the casino on the right and a roundabout on the left. At the crossroads, turn right and cross the road that leads to Pointe de la Fumée. Continue along Rue Raymond Poincaré. Turn right onto Rue de la Jetée.
(2) Detour. On the left, you can reach the Port Nord jetty. Retrace your steps.
(2) Take Rue Eric Tabarly heading south (on the right when coming from Rue de la Jetée). You will reach a roundabout, which you should go around on the left. Stay as close to the sea as possible, take Rue Georges Clémenceau on the left, then turn right onto Boulevard Louise de Bettignies and Boulevard de l'Océan, which run along the beach. Walk eastwards, staying close to the beach.
(3) Leave the street on your right and take a path along the seafront that runs alongside a campsite (on your right). You will pass the first carrelets. At a junction with a small road coming from the right, continue to the left. The path continues along the seafront, alternating between very short descents and ascents.
(4) At another junction with a small road coming from the right, continue east along the path. Continue until you reach a fishing hut isolated from the others.
(5) Retrace your steps to the previous junction.
(4) Take the small road on the left. At the next junction, there is a cycle path on the left and Rue Grignon de Montfort on the right. Turn right until you reach a roundabout.
(6) Take Rue du Docteur Boutiron and turn left onto Rue de la Fée du Bois. At a three-way intersection, take Rue du Maréchal Joffre (the middle street, slightly to the right). At the next intersection, turn left onto Rue du Maréchal Foch, then right again onto Rue de la Fée du Bois. Continue along this street, which curves to the right and then to the left, until you reach Rue Victor Hugo, where you turn right and continue for about 40 metres.
(7) Turn left at a right angle onto Rue des Deux Ports, then immediately right onto Rue de la Halle. Pass in front of the covered market and continue south-west to Rue Vauban opposite the fort of the same name. Turn left to return to the starting point.
