Departure from Lumio Avenue Bella Vista opposite No. 5 towards the Torricella district, signposted: Chemin de Randonnée(Hiking Trail ). Please note!!! It is very difficult to park and drive around Lumio, especially on market days. This market takes place all year round on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. There is a small car park below the church, except on market days.
(S/E) Go up the stairs (eastbound), follow the yellow markings, signposts and information boards. Metal arrows will also guide you.
At the top of the stairs, turn right (south) and continue along the path alongside the gardens until you reach a gate.
(1) Go through it and remember to close it behind you. Continue straight ahead, ignoring all paths to the right and left. You will reach the Chapel of Notre-Dame de la Stella.
(2) At the chapel, do not continue straight ahead towards Lavattoggio (Lavatoghju). Take the path on the left (north-west) between the dry stone walls opposite the chapel. (Sign for the ruined village of Occi) and yellow markings. Continue towards Occi, ignoring the paths on the right and left.
(3) At a crossroads, turn left and continue towards the Ruins of Occi.
(4) Take the opportunity to see the ruins and admire the sea views. (Algajo Bay and Pointe de Spano (Spanu). Return to the fork.
(3) Do not take the same path as on the way there, but turn right (south-east) to rejoin the track you started on. When you reach the track, turn right (west) to return to the starting point (S/E).
