The starting point is on the small square in front of the church in Lumio. Out of season, it is possible to park, sometimes in the shade, opposite the church. Otherwise, there is a free public car park below, accessible from the T30 road.
(S/E) Opposite the church, turn right and cross the square.
(1) Take the steps just after the bar to reach the road that winds through the village a little higher up. Follow the road to the right for a few metres.
(2) Look carefully for the small passage between two houses that leads to the hiking trail itself; there is actually a sign saying "Chemin de randonnée" (hiking trail), but you have to look for it. Follow the path and enjoy the view; it is very well maintained (and often paved). You will come to a small gate with a wire fence.
(3) Go through the gate, remembering to close it behind you, and continue uphill.
(4) A little after reaching an altitude of 340 m, find a passage in the low wall on the left; a sign (rather poorly oriented) indicates the cross; take this small path and continue climbing slightly (about +10 m in altitude). Reach the cross overlooking Lumio.
(5) Enjoy the splendid view of Calvi Bay. Be careful though, as there is no protection against falls. Descend towards the village by following the same route you took on the way up.
(2) You can, of course, return to the church square via the same route you took on the way up.
You can also follow the road to the right, then take the steps just after the village grocery store to enjoy the little maze of streets in the village until you reach the church square (S/E).
