Description of the walk

Park in the car park of the Saint-Philibert football stadium.

(S/E) Head right, going around the stadium. Join the GR®34 and turn left to reach the Crac'h river.

GR®34 signposting

(1) Walk along the harbour, a quiet and picturesque spot, and pass a car park before arriving at the Kernevest lighthouse.

(2) Continue along the river until you reach the Fort de Kernevest.

(3) Continue along the coast to reach Kernevest Beach.

(4) Stay on the coastal path and follow a right-hand bend to go around Men er Bellec Beach, the large beach at Saint-Philibert. At the end of this beach, you will come to a crossroads just before a large car park.

(5) Turn right to explore a small peninsula by the sea, accessible on foot, offering superb views of the ocean.

(6) Return to the previous crossroads.

(5) Turn right to follow the Saint-Philibert river upstream to the chapel of the same name.

(7) Continue along the river, then turn left, crossing the D28 carefully at the roundabout.

PR® marked in yellow

At Kerroch, keep left to reach two mysterious dolmens.

(8) Continue straight ahead to return to the football stadium car park (S/E).

Hello,

I have indeed completed this circuit, but the author mentions two dolmens that are not visible unless you look for them yourself. Although there is a sign coming from Kerroch indicating the Mané Canaplaye dolmen, there is no sign to enter the woods on the right, which means you have to search for it. I did so and came across a place of great beauty. Continuing on and keeping to the left, you come back to the path you left 300 metres earlier. The second dolmen, which is even further away, is of no interest, and the path to reach it is becoming difficult because the good souls who maintain these types of paths are becoming scarce, which I can only regret.
As I am unable to plot routes on your site, I have plotted it using Openrunner, which is more intuitive than yours, at least in its paid version.
After discussing this on a forum in Vannes (56000), it turns out that nothing has changed, that I am still unable to plot anything, and it's not for lack of trying.

Completed on 6 September 2025 under bright sunshine. An easy circuit, simple to follow, which runs along the coast for two-thirds of the loop – pure pleasure.
