Head to the car park at Kerradennec beach, also known locally as Groac’h Zu.
(S/E) From the far end of the car park, head east along the path slightly to the left that follows the coast as closely as possible (GR®34). Once you’re on the path, Kerradennec beach lies below you. At the far end of the beach, you’ll spot a large rock with a shape that, to me, looks like a seahorse. Others might see a horse’s head. It’s up to you to make up your own mind.
A little further on, towards the interior, there is a huge rock. Could it be Pluto, Mickey’s friend?
(1) The path continues along Tévenn Braz Bay to the headland of the same name, still lined with evocatively shaped boulders. At the tip of this headland stands a huge mass of rocks known as “An Holen”. It looks like a head pulling a face..
(2) After rounding the tip of the headland, the Rocher du Singe comes into view. Continue along the path which leads to Anse de Port Neuf.
(3) Cross the tarmac road that leads onto the private property and continue along the path beside the cove.
(4) Leave theGR®34(which enters private property) by turning right onto the path until you reach an asphalt road, which you take to the right towards the hamlet of Kerfiat.
(5) At the entrance to the hamlet, turn left along a garden featuring a large conifer known as the ‘monkey’s despair’. The path continues through the fields and returns to the starting point.
(S/E) Continue the route, this time taking the coastal path westwards from Kerradenec beach, following theGR®34once again. Simply follow the coast to Kervaliou beach.
(6) Just after passing under an anti-caravan gate, turn left inland, leaving theGR® behind, and head for the road leading to the car park (S/E).
