Description of the walk

Start at the Col de Peyra Taillade car park.

(S/E) Take the path heading north-east.

(1) At the junction, turn left.

(2) Take the first path on the left and climb the knoll. Take the hairpin bend to the right, continue climbing and reach the summit.

(3) Head back down the other side (north) and you’ll soon reach a junction.

(4) Go straight on, turn left onto the path and immediately take the first path on the right.

(5) At the T-junction, follow theGR®40to the left (red and white markings). Climb the winding path to the summit of La Durande.

(6) Head back down the same path to the previous junction.

(5) Turn right (leaving theGR®) and follow the path back the way you came.

(4) Take the first path on the left (south-east).

(2) Continue straight on.

(1) Turn right and return to the starting point (S/E).

A beautiful and pleasant little walk, very easy with a panoramic view of the Knoll of Combret. As for the artwork painted on the roots in the quarry, it has been cleared away and is hardly visible unless you go right up to the quarry.
