Description of the walk

Park at the Lumigny Tennis and Swimming Club House.

(S/E) Take the dirt track north of the club and follow the club’s boundary until the first junction. Turn 90° right onto the track, keep left at the next junction onto the concrete road, and you’ll find a water tank at the start of the ridge in a bend. Enjoy a beautiful view of Marseille from here.

(1) Turn left onto this ridge, which runs alongside the DFCI (Forest Fire Defence) gravel track. Follow this track until you reach a junction with a path.

(2) Turn right onto this track and continue up the winding path to reach the summit of Les Escampons.

(3) Begin the descent opposite, heading towards the Mont de Luminy junction. Pass the path leading there on your right and continue straight ahead. Join the DFCI track at a water tank.

(4) Turn left onto the DFCI track; this is the same one you took on the way out. Follow it and return to the junction you passed on the way out.
