Start from the car park, Place de L'Horloge.
(S/E) From the car park, turn right onto Rue de Rubeaux and follow it to the square of the same name near the Chapel of Notre-Dame de Rubeau.
(1) Turn left into Rue de la Croix de Meyzac, leaving Avenue de l’Industrie further to your left.
(2) At the top of the Côte de la Croix de Meyzac, admire the view, then take the Route du Gué des Quatre Moulins opposite and the path that continues from it. Four mills stood here in the 17th century; today they have been replaced by a (private) flour mill, traditionally known as the “Voie Romaine” and, to archaeologists, the Voie Lemovicana (the road linking Limoges to the vineyards of Lower Limousin). Continue until you reach the junction with a road.
(3) Turn right, pass by the Auvézère water pumping station, then reach No. 448 at the left-hand bend in the road.
(4) Leave the tarmac and take the path on the right. Follow it to the hamlet of La Buissonie (from bouesson = bush in Occitan or from buxus = boxwood in Gallo-Roman) and continue along the small road. Pass No. 997 and take the first path on the right
(5) Turn right onto this path. At the top of the climb, turn right. Enjoy the lovely view of the village and the apse of Saint-Étienne Church. Walk straight down to the village at the Chapel of Notre-Dame de Rubeau.
(1) Turn left onto Rue de Rubeaux and return to Place de l’Horloge (S/E).
