The Puy de Sancy via the Col de Courre

Starting from Mont-Dore Ski Resort, this walk will take you to the Puy de Sancy via the Col de Courre. Before heading back down, you can admire the Cascade de la Dore and the local biodiversity, all along well-maintained paths.

Description of the walk

Start from the resort car park, to the right of the cable car.

(S/E) Leave the car park, turn left and begin the climb up to the Col de Courre.

(1) At the end, turn left onto the GR® 30 towards the Pas de l’Âne.

(2) Head straight ahead to reach the summit.

(3) Turn back and return to the previous junction.

(2) Turn right and begin the descent.

(4) At the junction, turn right, then take the first left. At the end, turn left and return to the starting point (S/E).
