Unmistakable yellow markings!
(S/E) Take the path that winds its way uphill through the undergrowth. You will soon come to a sort of esplanade. This is the Oppidum. Cross it.
(1) Ignore the orange-marked trail that descends to the left. Take the narrow trail that descends through the woods. Continue to follow the yellow markings.
(2) Go down the few log steps on the left.
(3) At the T-junction, turn left again. The path runs along the hillside and the grounds of the former sanatorium.
(4) When you reach the three-way junction, take the path on the right, which is bordered by meadows. You will see the hamlet of Laspeyras.
(5) At the next crossroads, leave this wide path. Don't miss the narrower path on the left. There is an eye-catching water collection point here. Continue downhill towards the D76 road. Cross carefully and enter the hamlet of Voust.
At the exit of the hamlet, between two houses, turn left onto a path that runs more or less parallel to the D76. This leads to a small road. Follow it, turning left after about a hundred metres. Cross the D76 again. Continue towards Lavaud.
(6) Immediately after the sign, turn right and then immediately left. Once you have passed the last house, at the three-way junction, take the path on the left and head towards Lavaud. You will see the castle on your right.
Take the small road to the left. Join a larger road and follow it to the right for less than a hundred metres. Then turn right onto a path that leads to the hamlet of Le Couret. At the T-junction, turn left onto the small road and stay on this road for 300 metres.
(7) Cross the road and take the path directly opposite. A sign indicates the direction of the "centre équestre" (equestrian centre).
Follow the small stream for about 20 metres and start climbing towards Puy de Gaudy. Follow the path to reach the hamlet of La Faye.
Cross the hamlet. At the inverted three-way junction, turn left at the hairpin bend, then right after a house. Continue straight up through the woods, following the path. Just before the equestrian centre, turn left to return to the small road that leads to the car park on the left (S/E).
