Description of the walk

Park in the car park opposite Bellangenet beach.

(S/E) Head to Boulevard des Plages and turn left.

(1) Turn right onto Allée des Bergeronnettes. At the end of the street, take the coastal path towards the viewpoint, walk past it and continue along the path. At the end of the path, take the road to Place de l’Océan.

(2) At the junction, turn right onto Boulevard Charles Filiger and follow it into the village for 200m.

(3) At the crossroads, turn right onto Rue de Porz Castel. From there, follow the red and white markings. At the end of the street, turn left and then right to join the path. Always stay on the path furthest to the right.

(4) When the path joins Boulevard de la Laita, head right until the next junction.

(5) There, turn right again onto Rue du Port to reach the harbour. Turn around.

(5) Head up Rue du Port (D24) to the right until you reach the junction with Rue de Porsguern.

(6) Turn left and continue to the end of the street. At the junction, turn left onto Rue des Grands Sables. Follow this road all the way to the end.

(3) Continue straight on along Boulevard Charles Filiger.

(2) Continue straight on along the same boulevard.

(:1) Return to the car park by following the same route as on the way there (S/E).

A lovely walk.
Before you reach the Grand Sables beach, there is a restored bunker which is open to visitors on certain days (€3 admission)
The return journey by road is a little less pleasant.

A very pleasant route along the coast. The return journey by road is a little less interesting, although there seem to be alternative routes available.

Une belle route le long de la côte avec des plages magnifiques.
The return journey after point 5 is, however, rather uninteresting, as it follows the road. After the harbour (point 5), the route back via the Chemin de Saint Julien (which you take when returning to point 4) and then Rue Straeg Kerzeleg is a more pleasant way to get back to the village of Le Pouldu.

A very pleasant walk in lovely sunshine. Take the ferry across the Laita (check the timetables) and head to the Notre Dame chapel.
For the return journey, head via Le Pouldu, where there’s a very good crêperie – Ty Annick – then rejoin the coastal path.
NB: we did this walk on 2 September. Le Pouldu was completely deserted. 80% of the houses were closed. Sad.

A lovely walk along the coast, discovering a Breton curiosity.
